Voluntourism and Child Trafficking Into Orphanages In accordance with best practice research, FMN works in Nepal and Uganda to remove children from orphanages, both legal and illegal, and return them to their families in a supported manner. FMN works in partnership with the Nepali government through the Central Child Welfare Board (CCWB) to remove children from orphanages after the CCWB has made a decision to close the orphanage. FMN then cares for these children in a transit home whilst their families are traced, coupled with intensive social work support and counselling before and after a child returns home to prevent retrafficking.
