The climate crisis is a child rights crisis Introducing the children´s climate risk index This report provides the first comprehensive view of children’s exposure and vulnerability to the impacts of climate change through the Children’s Climate Risk Index (CCRI). While the outlook is very concerning, there is room for action and optimism. As this report emphasizes, there are a range of solutions in front of us. Each solution can help prioritize action for those most at risk. Ultimately, we can ensure today’s children inherit a liveable planet. Every action we take now can leave children a step ahead to prevent worse challenges in the future. As we commemorate UNICEF’s 75th year, let us collectively reimagine an environment fit for every child together. Every child deserves a liveable planet.
