The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) helps companies understand how much and how fast they have to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by to align with the goals of the Paris agreement - to limit warming to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C. This document provides guidance on how airlines and users of aviation services should set targets aligned with a well-below 2°C ambition (the goal of the Paris agreement).
