Tour guides have an important role to play: they guide travellers through a country or – in the case of local travel guides  – through their homecountry, they tell about cultural and natural features and are the interface between travellers and locals, between two often very different cultures. Tour guides are usually the first point of contact for the most varied questions and often also those who can react directly to the behaviour of the travellers. Thus the tour guides also bear a great responsibility with regard to the handling of human rights – this booklet is intended to support this!
