Child labor in the transportation sector has emerged as a major social challenge due to the increasing process of urbanization. Children working in transportation sector are found in all types of vehicles-trucks, buses, mini-buses, microbuses, jeeps and tempos throughout the country, particularly in mayor urban centres such as; Kathmandu Valley, Dharan-Biratnagar, Birgunj, Nepalgunj, Butwal and Pokhara.
